In 2016, my graphic novel, Trying Not To Notice, was released by 2dCloud. You can still order a copy from them.
Until it's release, Trying Not To Notice, was the longest story I'd ever drawn. I'd meant to write about an artist with a boring day job and wound up exploring delusion.
The through line for the book is a man who lies to himself and distorts reality in order to see himself as a type of hero. I thought of this inclination as our culture's most dangerous personality.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the book, and find the third chapter to be some of my most successful cartooning. Also, for a graphic novel, it's actually affordable: $13 for 200 pages.
